External candidates applying for this role must be a Rochdale Resident who lives within the municipal boundaries of the Borough of Rochdale.

 

Facilities Management are looking to appoint a Cleaner to work at St Peter’s RC Primary School, Middleton.

 

10 hours per week Monday to Friday 3.30pm-5.30pm.  Holidays to be taken throughout school holiday periods in line with the school holiday pattern.

 

Hours maybe subject to change dependant on the needs of the service.  Overtime may be required time to time and the appropriate rate will be paid.

 

We are looking for someone who is hard-working, energetic and honest person with excellent customer care skills and the ability to provide a quality cleaning service within a busy school.  The ideal person should have good attention to detail and the ability to work as part of a team and be able to communicate clearly with and relate positively to all members of the school community.  The ability to work alone to tight timescales is essential.

 

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining an excellent standard of cleanliness around the school and duties will include toilet cleaning, mopping, cleaning of internal glazing, vacuuming, use of equipment include scrubbers driers and buffing machines. Knowledge of health & safety i.e. COSHH

Cleaning experience is essential, although persons with skills appropriate and a willing attitude are invited to apply.

 

Full uniform/PPE will be provided.

 

Applicants should be aware that if they are appointed to this post, appointment is to the Governing Body of the school and not Facilities Management.

 

Candidates who are unsuccessful after interview may be considered for casual cleaner positions within Facilities Management and further information will be provided.

 

 

In accordance with Section 7 of the Immigration Act 2016 this post requires the ability to converse at ease with the members of the public and provide advice in accurate spoken English.
