Salary:  £57,691 – £61,419 per annum

Working Hours: 37 hours Monday-Friday, evenings & weekends on occasion

Contract Type:  Permanent

An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Public Health team which sits within the newly formed Public Health and Communities Directorate within in Rochdale Borough Council. We are looking to appoint a Public Health Specialist who will focus on health protection and health care public health in primary care to join our forward thinking Borough as we work together to improve health outcomes for residents. Rochdale Borough has a strong history of cooperation and pioneering and we seek a dynamic and highly motivated candidate who will work well across a range of partners on our transformational programmes.

 

Working across the local system, you will provide specialist public health knowledge and guidance to support a strategic approach to embedding healthy public policy approaches. You will be confident in using data to determine needs and critically appraising evidence to improve health outcomes, to influence the wider determinants of health, and to reduce inequalities.  You will provide specialist public health leadership on designated priorities and will develop strong partnerships with multiple stakeholders, to drive the public health agenda across the borough.

 

The post holder will be an enthusiastic individual with demonstrable experience of leading change to improve health outcomes.  You will be able to use your strong influencing, negotiation and leadership skills to work with partners across the Borough to influence processes and outcomes.
