Welcome to the STARS (Short Term Assessment and Reablement Service) part of Rochdale’s award winning Adult Care Services department. It’s an exciting time across Adult Care Services, as we embark and continue on our change and transformation journey to truly make a difference to the lives of our residents.

Our workforce is our biggest asset and a lot has been done which we are really proud of but there a lot still to do. We are looking for amazing people who share our vision and values to join our STARS team, which supports thousands of residents every year.

 

We have a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and forward thinking person to join our team as a Reablement Support Assistant.

The STARS team, which works in partnership with health colleagues, is an essential service which helps to improve patient flow, prevent delayed discharges, prevent admission to hospital and free up vital hospital beds

v  Leave Entitlement: You will be offered a generous holiday allowance of at least 24 days per annum. In addition, our employees annual leave entitlement will increase by an additional 5 days after five years’ service. (Pro rata for part time or part year employment).

v  You will be an effective multi-tasker with excellent organisational skills and the ability to work flexibly to meet the needs of the service.

v  You must have your own form of motorised transport and be able to travel around the Borough of Rochdale.

v  You will be motivated and forward thinking, who can demonstrate professionalism and enthusiasm

v  You will be a team player

v  You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills

v  You will be passionate about supporting older and vulnerable residents, with a caring approach at the heart of everything you do.
