About Us:
We're seeking a motivated Senior EHC Assessment & Review Officer to join our team at Rochdale, dedicated to supporting children and young people with SEND.
Key Responsibilities:
Contribute to statutory assessment and review processes.
Manage caseload, attend review meetings, and process casework.
Lead recruitment and management of Assistant Assessment & Review Officers.
Manage EHC plans, including commissioning placements.
Lead or support cases for tribunal.
Improve quality and consistency of EHC plan writing.
Provide training and represent the service at meetings.
Requirements:
Relevant degree or equivalent.
Significant experience in EHC assessment, plan processes and drafting EHC plans.
Ability to travel within Rochdale borough and beyond.
Continued professional development evidence.
Experience working with children, young people, and families with SEND.
Knowledge of legislation and SEND Code of Practice.
Strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
Flexibility and ability to manage a complex caseload.
Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work.
