Salary: £35,745 to £44,428 per annum (Bar at £42,403)

(Grade 7 £35,745 to £37,336)

(Grade 8 £38,223 to £44,428)

Only Adult Care Social Workers who have AMHP status and take part on the AMHP rota can be approved for progression beyond the bar point of SCP34 (£42,403)                       

Working Hours: 37 hours per week

There is an opportunity to join Rochdale Borough Council/Pennine Care Foundation Trust’s Integrated Mental Health Service as a full time Social Worker within the community mental health teams (CMHT) covering Rochdale.

 

The Job:

 

This role is working with the care programme approach as a mental health care coordinator. There is also an element of undertaking social care functions, such as care act assessments, commissioning services, completing mental capacity assessments and undertaking safeguarding enquiries as required.

 

Professional requirements:

 

Qualified social worker

Registered with Social Work England

 

Knowledge and Skills required:

 

Experience and knowledge of working in secondary mental health care pathways, the care programme approach and risk management.

 

Experience and knowledge of undertaking care act assessments, commissioning packages of support, completing mental capacity assessments, undertaking safeguarding enquiries and also carer assessments.

 

Experience of completing social circumstance reports and/or facilities reports for mental health tribunals and Manager’s hearings.

 

Knowledge and understanding of relevant social care and health legislation and how to apply in practice.

Re-imbursement of registration fees.

 

Applicants, who already have an AMHP qualification, will have the opportunity to practice as part of a rota that supports those AMHPs who are based within the dedicated AMHP Hub. There is regular professional supervision available to all AMHPs, refresher training, and robust management support.

 

Applicants who are already a qualified Best Interest Assessor, will have the opportunity to take part on the BIA rota.
