The Governing Board of Newhey CP School are seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to join a committed team of staff at this caring and successful school. The post is to support a KS1 child who has an Education Health Care Plan, to assist in their support and inclusion within a mainstream school, both within the classroom and with personalised learning, along with general Teaching Assistant duties.

The post is for 27.5 hours per week plus 5 hours lunchtime support (32.5 hours in total) and is term time only.

At this time we are unable to organise visits to school but for any further information you require, please email office@newhey.rochdale.sch.uk and we will try to answer any questions you may have.

This is a fixed term contract linked to specific external funding by the Special Needs Assessment Team and the contract will end when the child moves school. The child is currently in Year 1.

 

The ability to converse at ease with customers and service users and provide advice in accurate spoken English is an essential requirement of this post.

 

The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

 

Appointment to this post is subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring and background check.

 

Due to the Covid pandemic if you are unable to secure certificates of your qualifications, then evidence from your awarding body/provider that you have passed will be accepted. This is a temporary arrangement until August 2021. If you are appointed to the post, every attempt should continue to be made to obtain your certificates as evidence of your qualifications.Your offer will be conditional upon the receipt of the original certificates for your qualifications until they are received. You will be advised of the deadline for this within your appointment letter.
