Oulder Hill Community School and Language College is a very successful school and one of the largest in Rochdale. A multi-million pound PFI rebuilding/refurbishment was completed in Autumn 2007 to provide state-of-the-art facilities for students, staff and the community. The school serves a large area in the west of the borough. All at the school are committed to achieving the highest academic and social standards for students and to the well-being and continuous professional development of all staff. TEACHING ASSISTANT (LEVEL 2)
Salary: Grade 3 – SCP 14-17 (Actual Salary £14,199 - £15,038)
Hours: 37 Hours per Week – Term Time Only
The Governors are seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant (Level 2) to work within the Pastoral Team.
Under the direction of an Assistant Headteacher and The “Bridge” Manager the successful applicant will assist in the running of the internal exclusion and reintegration room, known as The Bridge and support students who have been internally excluded or who are at risk of further exclusion to overcome their barriers to learning. This will involve supporting their wellbeing in school and addressing the mental, physical and emotional needs of the pupils
The successful candidate will be enthusiastic and highly motivated and will work as part of a skilled team to provide support to children both in The Bridge and also across the whole school.
The ability to converse at ease with customers and service users and provide advice in accurate spoken English is an essential requirement of this post.
