OPERATIONS MANAGER

 

What we’re looking for:

 

The Diocese of Salford is seeking to recruit an experienced Operations Manager to provide appropriate leadership and management support for all areas of operational management (including housekeeping, facilities maintenance and catering services) across the entire Cathedral campus (including the Cathedral Church, House and Centre and an additional building currently under redevelopment)

 

The role:

 

This is a newly created post to lead a unified and integrated team, to create and maintain a consistently high standard of support and hospitality to the various clergy, staff and visitors across the whole campus and will report to the Cathedral Dean and the Director of Administration and Personnel.

 

The Operations Manager will:

  • Ensure the highest standards of safety and hospitality both for the day-to-day operation and maintenance of the facilities and for events and meetings, which routinely take place across the campus.
  • Work as part of a team providing support to the overall needs of the Cathedral campus to ensure the highest standards of cleaning and housekeeping.

The successful candidate will be:

  •  Able to quickly establish effective working relationships and bring focus to a broad team to enable the efficient achievement of key objectives.
  • A highly organised, well-motivated and dynamic individual with a flexible and ‘can-do’ approach, in order to effectively lead the team of operational, housekeeping and maintenance staff
  • Enthusiastic, self-motivated and able to use their own initiative.
  • Knowledgeable of Health and Safety within cleaning and support services
  • Effective communicating with a diverse range of people and possess good interpersonal skills.
