Two new and exciting opportunities have arisen to join the Governance and Business Support Team (Adult Care Services, Rochdale Council) in the role of Senior Financial Support Officer. Our new recruits will join a fast paced, hard-working team in a challenging and rewarding role, playing a key role in enabling us to deliver a service that we are proud of and to provide assistance to our local and vulnerable residents.
The successful candidates will contribute to one of the specialist areas of the team which include;
The provision of an efficient Corporate Appointee, and Property & Financial Affairs Deputy function for Adult Care Services managing a caseload in line with Department of Work and Pension, Court of Protection and the Office of Public Guardian guidance and regulations
Supporting the recovery of monies due to Rochdale Council whilst ensuring fair treatment and raising awareness of financial recovery processes.
The monitoring of Personal Budgets taken as a Direct Payment through completing audits and the provision of advice to staff across Adult Care Services and to service users .
You will be able to prioritise your own workload, ensuring that deadlines are achieved and work within statutory guidelines and local policies to provide support for vulnerable adults within the Borough. You will work closely with a range of colleagues within Adult Care and from external departments including our colleagues in the National Health Service.
