Salary: £21,074 -£23,111 per annum pro rata

Grade: 5                              

Working Hours:  37 hours  per week, Term Time Only (44 weeks)                         

Contract Type:  Permanent

We are seeking to appoint a Governor Support Officer who will support schools and academies within the Borough by providing a high quality clerking and administrative support service.

 

The successful candidate will provide advice and guidance to individual Governors and Governing Boards on governance legislation and procedural matters and act as the first point of contact for Governors with queries.

 

To succeed in this role you will need as a minimum:

  • To have a proven track record in producing accurate, clear and concise minutes/records of meetings
  • To be able to work methodically, prioritising your workload, whilst providing attention to detail and meeting deadlines
  • Experience of communicating effectively with a wide range of people
  • To demonstrate high level administration and organisation skills
  • To be flexible to meet the special requirements for this post including being available to work several evenings a week during peak school term time
