We have a vacancy for an enthusiastic and experienced policy professional who will contribute to the work of the Corporate Policy Team in providing strategic and corporate direction to the Council and in supporting the Chief Executive and other senior leaders and partners in understanding policy issues.

 

You will be experienced in analysing, interpreting and evaluating information about national, regional and local policy developments and other complex subjects so as, to provide accurate and timely information and advice about the impact of change on the organisation. You will need to be proactive in anticipating and identifying emerging trends and problems and be confident in facilitating critical policy discussion and debate.

 

The devolution agenda is very important for Rochdale thus you will be required to understand the regional perspective, manage our relationship with the Greater Manchester Combined Authority and ensure that we are making the most of devolution and Greater Manchester opportunities.

 

The Corporate Policy Team works to ensure consistency, compliance and continuous improvement. You will contribute to the development of corporate frameworks, processes and documentation to deliver effective and efficient ways of working and will lead and support policy reviews and transformation projects.
