About us:
Rochdale Borough Council and NHS Heywood, Middleton and Rochdale CCG are working in partnership with Rochdale Provider organisations to deliver exciting plans to integrate health and social care services that aim to improve lives of local people. The Council’s well regarded centralised HR service is currently supporting organisational change and challenge as we continue to take forward our health and care integration agenda and develop our HR response to multi-discipline public sector teams. It is an exciting time to be working in HR and we are strengthening our resource as we begin to provide HR support to the CCG. We have a fantastic opportunity for a motivated, experienced and innovative HR practitioner to join us.
About the role:
As HR Advisor you will provide a professional HR advice and support service primarily to CCG managers on the management of employee relations cases (absence, discipline, grievance, capability, etc) and the resolving of day to day HR queries. In addition, you will help facilitate the development of line managers to increase their people management skills. You will also have the opportunity to undertake project work and policy development.
Although focussed primarily on staffing matters within the CCG arena, this role will also enable you to develop/enhance your knowledge and understanding of public sector HR within a local authority setting.
About you:
You will:
- Be educated to degree level (or equivalent in a related discipline), CIPD qualified and/or Chartered Membership of the CIPD
- Have a detailed working knowledge of Agenda for Change Terms and Conditions, NHS Employers guidance and employment legislation
