Learning Support Officer
Permanent – 37 hrs per week – Term Time Only + 5 Days – Immediate Start
Required to work to 6pm on a rota basis within our Achievement Centre study area
We are looking for an outstanding, enthusiastic and passionate Learning Support Officer, who is keen to continuously improve the classroom experience of our students. Key Areas of Responsibility:
· To implement agreed learning support with individuals/groups and support teaching staff in the learning and development of students.
· To provide detailed and specialist skills/knowledge within the field of SEN (special educational needs)/ALN (additional learning needs).

Salary: All appointments will be made on the nationally agreed Sixth Form College pay spine based on qualification and experience. The salary for this post is Points 15 – 22 currently £16,000 to £18,494 (actual for term time plus 1 week is £14,178 to £16,388).
Appointments made on scale point 17 or below will be topped up to the living wage of £16,880 per annum (actual Salary £14,957).
Applicants are informed that if appointed to this post their contract of employment will be with the school governing board who is the employer, and not Rochdale Council.
The ability to converse at ease with customers and service users and provide advice in accurate spoken English is an essential requirement of this post.
