We are seeking to appoint a Governor Support Officer to join our successful, expanding Governor Support provision to schools and academies within the borough.

 

The successful candidate will provide a high quality service to schools and academies, including:

 

  • Clerking Governing Board / Trust Board / Committee meetings
  • Providing administrative support to Governors and Governing Boards
  • Providing advice and guidance to Governors and Governing Boards on governance legislation and procedural matters
  • Acting as the first point of contact for queries 

To succeed in this role you will need as a minimum:

  • To have a proven track record in producing accurate, clear and concise minutes/records of meetings
  • To be able to work methodically; prioritising your workload, whilst providing attention to detail and meeting deadlines
  • Experience of communicating effectively with a wide range of people
  • Ability to demonstrate high level administration and organisation skills
  • To be flexible to meet the special requirements for this post, including being available to work several evenings a week during peak school term time
