Grade:                  9
Working Hours:  37
Contract Type:   Permanent

Rochdale is currently transforming how it manages its front door through the creation of its early help and safeguarding hub to help support families earlier and help prevent escalation to children’s social care. An integral part of this is our family group conference team.

Rochdale is passionate about working collaboratively with families to find solutions with them to the difficulties they face and our family group conference team are an integral part of that response both at an early help level but also where cases have escalated into children’s social care.

If you are an experienced and qualified grade 9 social worker, committed to strength based approaches to working with families, with a good understanding of family dynamics and with the ability to mediate and manage conflict between individuals and within families then we would love to hear from you.

As the manager of the team you will carry a small caseload but will also be responsible for the allocation of conferences and also managing the performance of the team including offering supervision so good organisational skills are a must.

In return, you will join our new dynamic multi agency hub alongside social workers, early help workers, police, health professionals and children’s mental health workers. You will experience supportive management with regular and reflective supervision and a commitment to provide opportunities for professional development.
