The Governing Board are seeking to appoint a talented and motivated Catering Manager to lead our catering team at Bowlee Park.

As Catering Manager you will have full operational responsibility for the kitchen and catering team in our outstanding school. You will be responsible for ensuring the preparation, production and cooking of all meals are managed efficiently, with a daily service of approximately 550 covers.

The successful candidate will have a passion for serving high quality, freshly cooked meals, focussing on delivering the highest quality food with flair and originality. We are looking for a high energy, flexible and positive person to join our team.

 

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

· Kitchen organisation and management - lead, develop, train, and inspire your team

· The preparation and cooking of meals

· Serving of meals where required

· Use and care of equipment

· Have full control of stock

· Ensure consistency of food and service standards

· Manage and improve all controllable costs

· Oversee the main kitchen and menu development

· Deliver exceptional customer service

· Maintain systems & procedures, and legislation

· Carry out regular audits

· Completion of paperwork on a daily and weekly basis

The ideal candidate will have:

· Relevant qualifications

· Knowledge of health and safety practices

· Experience within a similar environment

· Experience of managing a catering team

· Experience in food preparation

Visits to the school are warmly encouraged.
