Practice Manager – First Response Service
An exciting opportunity has arisen here at Rochdale to join our Children’s services management team as a Practice Manager in our First Response Service.
Our First Response Service provides social work interventions for children, young people and families who need statutory social work and support both as Children in Need or those in need of formal safeguarding. It offers intensive support and interventions which make a difference to the children and young people we work with.
Our social work model is relationship based practice as we believe trusting relationships are essential to improving children’s lives.
As a Practice Manager you will:
• Be passionate about making a difference to children and young people’s lives
• Have skills and abilities in leading and managing a team of social work practitioners to be vibrant, confident and competent professionals.
• Understand what “good practice” looks like against the bench mark of would this be good enough for my child.
• Have extensive knowledge and experience of statutory social work and legislative frameworks.
• Have a track record of effective partnership working.
Why join us?
It is an exciting time to be joining us as we are currently developing our locality model of early help and social work. We are ambitious for our children and are at the forefront of innovation through the Greater Manchester devolution agenda.
Supported by colleagues and senior managers across Children’s services you will benefit from a comprehensive induction programme. You will also have the opportunity to continue to develop your management and leadership skills through our bespoke development pathway.
We have over 50,000 children and young people in Rochdale and with your help and dedication we can ensure that they all get the life chances they deserve. We are passionate about our work, investing in our people to strengthen families and improve children’s outcomes.
