This position will involve working both in and out of the classroom environment with students with profound and complex needs, physical disabilities and autism. It will be a combination of moving and handling, postural management, hydro splash, mobility, personal care and rebound type activities as well as general classroom support as required.

 

The purpose and objectives of the post are:

  • To work with teachers, supporting teaching and learning by providing specialist support to individual pupils, small groups and/or leading learning activities within an area of specialism.
  • To deliver whole class teaching cover, for example during teacher’s PPA time.
  • To be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

We are seeking to recruit a TA3+ who will demonstrate:

  • High levels of dedication and motivation
  • High expectations and enjoy the challenges associated with working in this environment
  • Commitment to school improvement and pupil progress
  • A flexible approach to working with others whilst forming excellent learning relationships with students
