An exciting opportunity has arisen to manage this dedicated and supportive team for Rochdale Borough Council. The EHC Assessment and Review Team are responsible for carrying out the Council’s statutory duties for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities undergoing Education, Health and Care (EHC) needs assessments and reviewing and monitoring those with EHC plans in Rochdale.
The successful candidate will have previous management experience in health, social care or education and will have a relevant qualification to degree level or equivalent. You will demonstrate an ethos of person centred working and have experience working with children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities and ensuring good outcomes for this cohort.

Support for Armed Forces
ARMED FORCES INTERVIEW SCHEME
Rochdale Borough Council has Member approval to implement a proposal to guarantee an interview from ex-service personnel applicants where they meet certain qualifying criteria.
The aim of this proposal is to deliver the Council’s commitment to further ‘the Armed Forces Community Covenant’ to ensure that ex-armed forces personnel are not disadvantaged, when applying for job vacancies, as a result of their service.
Ex-service personnel will be guaranteed an interview under the Scheme where they meet the following conditions:
They must meet the essential criteria for the post set out within the Person Specification.
The armed forces must be their last known long term employer.
They have been looking for a job for between 6-24 months since they left the Armed Forces.
