The Governing Body of Brownhill Learning Community is seeking to appoint a School Based Family Worker.

The Brownhill Learning Community is an association of Brownhill School (Heights Lane Site) and the Pupil Referral Service (Darnhill Site and The Year 11 Centre) who work together to provide education provision for school aged pupils with behavioural or social and emotional difficulties who are out of the mainstream environment.

We believe in a Learning Community where everyone feels valued, included and achieves. Our aim is to identify and meet individual learning needs through a nurturing environment.

 

Candidates must be prepared to work at any of our three centres across the Rochdale Borough.

 

We aim to recruit a candidate with proven experience of working with and supporting children and their families in order to break barriers so pupils are able to make the most of their educational provision. You will be part of a small team responsible for looking after the welfare of our children and their families. You will need to have a flexible approach to your work, be calm, focused, well-motivated and nurturing and must have the ability to produce accurate reports to support your work.

 

Candidates must hold a full UK driving licence and be willing to travel across the Rochdale Borough.

 

The successful candidates will be required to commence in post in as soon as possible.
