The governors are seeking to employ a cook to be responsible for the production and serving of around 320 meals per day with a team of 7. The current post holder is taking early retirement after 28 years of service. This post would be suitable for somebody who has previous experience of school meal production and who has a good understanding of current nutritional standards for school meals.

 

The successful candidate will be able to evidence how they would be able to plan cost effective menus and manage a team to produce and serve meals as well as maintaining the highest standards in hygiene. They would be liaising closely with the school bursar in order for them to effectively work within the kitchen budget.

 

This is an important leadership post in our outstanding school and we are looking for somebody who understands a school environment and who will put our children at the heart of his/her role.
