As a result of the curriculum review to meet the challenges of the new academic and the continuing implementation of the Post Ofsted Action Plan, Governors wish to appoint a Maths specialist to lead across the whole school for teaching and learning and also other agreed substantive curriculum responsibilities.

Further details of the post can be found in the job description but it is expected that the successful candidate will:

- Be able to lead by example as a teacher and as a manager, achieving high standards of pupil attainment and progress, behaviour and motivation through effective teaching.

- provide coaching in the teaching of Maths and Numeracy

- Use and analyse data effectively to identify pupils who are under achieving in Maths/Numeracy and planning intervention strategies.
