The Governors and the Senior Leadership Team are looking to appoint a Temporary Teaching Assistant, Level, 1 to meet the provisional needs of the school. Based in UKS2 to support a specific child’s academic and emotional needs.

 

We are seeking to appoint an experienced, hardworking and determined teaching assistant who can engage with the children of all abilities to allow them to reach their full potential. You will be working closely with a child who has additional needs as well as general classroom tasks.

 

The ideal candidate will: -

 

  • Have excellent behaviour management skills
  • Adhere to our core values as a Church of England School and assist us in ensuring we ''Aim High, take pride and respect all''.
  • Have excellent behavior management skills
  • Have high expectation of all children’s achievements
  • Be able to support and communicate learning expectations clearly and positively to students.
  • Be reliable, enthusiastic and flexible.
  • Have level 2 Numeracy and Literacy qualifications
  • Hold Supporting Teaching and Learning Level 2 Qualification
  • Be highly organised
  • Be able to work as team
  • Confident in leading English and Maths interventions with specific groups of pupils
  • Experience of working with children with Special Educational Needs and provide 1 to 1 support for children with specific needs as and when required.
  • Sound subject knowledge of National curriculum expectations, particularly those for UKS2.
  • Provide effective feedback and learning to pupils and to liaise with class teachers regarding achievements and their next steps using our school policies.
  • Have a sound understanding safeguarding and safer working practices and the new policies from September 2018.

The ability to converse at ease with customers and service users and provide advice in accurate spoken English is an essential requirement of this post.
