This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, motivated and physically active Kitchen Porter at Wardle Academy.

Wardle Academy is part of the Wardle Multi - Academy Trust and is located in a semi-rural setting serving the Pennine communities of Wardle, Dearnley, Littleborough and Smithy Bridge, although a number of students also travel from Todmorden and Rochdale. The school is situated close to the M62, with quick and easy access to both Leeds and Manchester. We aim to provide an excellent all-round education within a safe environment of modern facilities and resources.

 

The postholder will:

  • Maintain hygiene in the main catering arrears of the school
  • Be able to move heavy items safely, and be prepared to be standing up for most of your shift
  • Work efficiently with minimal supervision
  • Be a good team player supporting colleagues in their duties as required
  • Able to assist with basic food preparation

You will be joining Wardle Academy at an exciting time as we enter a period of rapid improvement on our way to becoming ‘Outstanding’ in the future. Catering provision to our students and staff is an important element of the school day. The postholder will be required to maintain high levels of hygiene and cleanliness to support the delivery of food and refreshments within school.
