The Governors of Newlands School are seeking to appoint a Class Teacher to cover maternity leave who :

 

  • Is proactive and vigilant in their approach to safeguarding pupils
  • Is experienced in working within a team to ensure the best outcomes for children
  • Has the personal and social skills to communicate clearly and sensitively, establishing and sustaining good relationships with parents, pupils and other staff
  • Is an excellent and reflective classroom practitioner
  • Is caring, committed and highly motivated
  • Has high expectations of all pupils’ achievement and behaviour
  • Has the knowledge, enthusiasm and ability to inspire and motivate children to learn.
  • Has a warm and friendly personality.
  • Has an excellent understanding of children with severe and complex needs and how to plan for and support their learning and engagement.

The successful applicant will have experience across EYFS, KS1 and/or special schools.
