Location:  Various locations across the Borough                                

Salary: £17,267 to £18,556 pro rata (JNC3-6) and £19,645 to £22,116 pro rata (JNC8-11)    

Grade: JNC 3 – 6 (Unqualified) and JNC 8 – 11 (Qualified)                                            

Working Hours:  6 hours per week, evenings and weekends               

Contract Type:  Temporary until March 2020                      

Closing Date: 3rd March 2019     

Interview Date: Week Commencing 11th March 2019

                               

In accordance with Section 7 of the Immigration Act 2016 this post requires the ability to converse at ease with the members of the public and provide advice in accurate spoken English.

 

Rochdale Youth Service (RYS) requires sessional youth workers to work across all areas in Rochdale Borough.

 

RYS is an innovative and forward thinking youth organisation which strives to provide opportunities for young people aged 11 – 19.  Our mission is “To support young people in their transition from childhood to responsible adulthood, encourage their social development and individual fulfilment, and help and encourage them to engage more actively in society”.

 

Working with young people from diverse backgrounds you will be part of a team that plans and delivers a wide range of activities for young people in a variety of settings such as youth centres, sports centres, community centres, mobile bus, detached and outreach sessions.

 

We are looking to recruit additional sessional Youth Workers who are flexible, who share our values and are passionate about helping young people reach their full potential.

 

Appointment to this post is subject to a enhanced DBS including a barred list check against the child workforce.
