To be eligible to apply for this post you must be a Rochdale Resident who lives within the municipal boundaries of the Borough of Rochdale

 

Facilities Management are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and flexible caretaker to work at this busy nursery. It would be advantageous for candidates to have handy person’s skills to help keep maintenance costs for the nursery as low as possible. This post is based on 3 shifts and there is an element of cleaning both inside and outside the nursery.

ARMED FORCES INTERVIEW SCHEME

 

Rochdale Borough Council has  Member approval to implement a proposal to guarantee an interview from ex-service personnel applicants where they meet certain qualifying criteria.

The aim of this proposal is to deliver the Council’s commitment to further ‘the Armed Forces Community Covenant’ to ensure that ex-armed forces personnel are not disadvantaged, when applying for job vacancies, as a result of their service. 

Ex-service personnel will be guaranteed an interview under the Scheme where they meet the following conditions:

They must meet the essential criteria for the post set out within the Person Specification.

The armed forces must be their last known long term employer. 

They have been looking for a job for between 6-24 months since they left the Armed Forces.
