Community Restart Team require Assistant Officers to work on a casual basis as required to cover gaps in the rota based at either Greave House other Community Restart Services across the borough.

At Greave House you will be required to provide crisis interventions and person centred / outcome based support for up to three service users experiencing a mental health crisis residing in the residential crisis / respite unit.

You will also be required to provide person centred support to service users with mental illness and or complex need living in the supported living service based at Greave House and telephone support and advice to other service users living in Community Restart Teams supported tenancy schemes within the borough.

You will undertake risk assessments, management plans and support planning and be required to make decisions as you may be required to take admissions during the night. Excellent listening skills and a non judgemental approach are essential qualities for this role.

The service is double staffed however the waking night shift is a lone working shift however a second member of staff sleeps in should additional support or resources be required.

Assistant officers will also be required to work across Community Restart Teams supported housing schemes at various locations across the borough to cover gaps in the rota as required.

You will provide both practical and emotional support to service users and work within a recovery based model that promotes independence and works towards desired outcomes. You will be required to undertake assessments, support planning, risk assessments and risk management plans.

You may be required to support service users with maintaining their medication regime, some basic cleaning and administration tasks will also be required as part of your role.

The service is registered with CQC and staff are expected to carry out their work in accordance with the regulations.

The Working pattern includes various shifts 8-4 / 9-5, evenings 2 – 10pm, 3pm – 11pm sleep ins and a waking night is 10pm to 8 am. You will be expected to work bank holidays and weekends in accordance with the rolling rota.

A full induction and training package will be provided.
