An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Governance and Business Support team within Rochdale council’s award winning Adult Care Service. You will join a committed, hard-working team in a challenging and rewarding role, offering a sense of achievement in helping to deliver a service that we are proud of.

The team covers a range of functions, which include Governance, Performance and Quality, Client Financial Support and the Home Improvement Agency.  The post is generic and you could be deployed to support any of these areas.  The successful candidate will provide invaluable financial and other business support to the team across one or more of these areas.  Tasks will include assisting with personal budgets, monitoring and auditing of cash budget accounts, ensuring that Adult Care systems are used appropriately, making payments for care and support, providing Debt support, assisting in collating quality and performance data and supporting the delivery of disabled adaptations, Careline and Assistive Technology.

You will need to be an excellent communicator, be adaptable, pro-active and flexible in your approach and be able to work at pace under pressure.  You must be able to use your own initiative, and should have excellent organisational skills.  In return we can offer flexible working conditions, 23 days holiday and the opportunity for training and progression.  The team is based in our state of the art offices in the centre of Rochdale.

If you are passionate, enthusiastic, have great attention to detail and meet the person specification for this role, we would love to hear from you.

This is a temporary contract for approximately 12 months due to the needs of the Service.

Approval for secondment should be obtained from your Service Director (or nominated representative)  before applying for this post.
