Are you interested in teaching adults with little or no English?

Then you could become a Talk English Volunteer!

 

Funded by the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government, the Talk English project is working with people with low levels of English to help them improve their language skills, access services and get more involved in the community.

Talk English are looking for new volunteers to join our award winning team and provide support to people in the borough with little or no English.

Volunteers will get free training and support throughout the project, be able to claim travel expenses, gain valuable experience, meet and link in with new people and join in Talk English Activities.

 

We are currently looking to fill a number of Talk English teaching roles throughout community settings within Rochdale Borough. Being a Talk English volunteer is a rewarding and effective way of making a voluntary contribution to your community and to the lives of isolated adults with little or no English. Volunteers are appointed by the project coordinators after completing the initial training.

 

Volunteers can choose from one of the following roles:

ESOL Tutor

Support Tutors

Friend in Class

You will be supported throughout your time by staff and fellow volunteers; will have access to support from the bespoke website, and access to various training and CPD through Talk English.
