Salary: Leadership Scale L3-L7 £40,958 to £45,290
St Peter’s Church of England Primary School is a larger than average primary school serving the local community. Our pupils are well behaved, motivated and eager to learn and our dedicated staff team is committed to giving them an excellent start in education.
Since 2014, and the arrival of the new headteacher, we have seen a period of rapid change. In agreement with the LA, our recent self-evaluation states that we are clearly a good school with many outstanding features. Our most recent data shows us in the top 10% of schools in the country for progress and pupils now achieve at or above national figures.
We are looking to recruit an Assistant Headteacher to complete our management structure (Headteacher, Deputy and 2 Assistant Headteachers).
The successful candidate will hold an important strategic role in the leadership team of our school. They will be an outstanding practitioner who will be able to lead by example in their own classroom practice, and be able to support, develop and train others. The position will be class based with management release time each week.
Our ideal candidate will:
- be committed to St Peter's Christian ethos
- be a skilled and experienced teacher with exemplary classroom practice, and the skills to be able to coach and develop this within others
- had experience of leading at TLR or SENCO level
- have a strong track record in making an impact on pupils’ progress
- have excellent communication, organisation and interpersonal skills
- be able to lead, motivate and inspire others to achieve excellence
