We have a vision in the Borough of Rochdale to deliver the greatest and fastest possible improvement to the health and wellbeing of all our people. We are looking for an exceptional HR professional to join our team and help make this a reality.

To undertake this position you will have gained the Graduate CIPD qualification with a sound HR knowledge and a practical understanding of employment legislation as well as being able to communicate effectively at all levels within the organisation. We are looking for someone who can immediately provide an effective contribution to the team.

The work involved will focus on supporting all aspects of employee relations, pay and rewards and other associated HR workstreams. This will include policy development, providing expert HR advice to managers of the Council relating to employee relations, rewards and resourcing matters, support the development of corporate HR projects and priorities and dealing with responses to grievances and other similar employee/trade union issues.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Professional HR practitioner to build on their existing knowledge, skills and experience, and join a supportive team with a ‘can do’ at a time of unprecedented change and opportunity for Rochdale.
