Salary:      £25,481 to £28,672 (pro rata for part time positions)   

Grade:       6                          

Working Hours:    37 hours (full time Monday to Friday with occasional weekend and evening work)

                                18 ½ hours (part time)    

Contract Type:   Permanent and temporary

Interview Date:  15th and 16th December 2020            

 

We are looking to recruit Supporting Families Workers to join our existing teams across the borough. We are looking for staff who can work with children (0 -19 years ) and parents/carers in families who have a wide range of issues across all thresholds from Early Help, Child In Need & Child Protection.

 

We are looking for staff who can empower families to make changes for themselves to improve their lives and encourage them to reach their full potential, you will deliver individual bespoke & group interventions using evidence based tools within the home and local community.

 

You will need to engage with a wide range of families form the different communities across the borough in a positive, creative, enthusiastic and supportive manner.

 

You must have the ability to communicate empathetically, with a diverse range of families and professionals across other services.

 

You will work in a multi-agency way alongside partners/carers to ensure the right service is delivered at the right time for the families.

 

You will work in an integrated team with colleagues from Children’s Centres, Early Help staff and will have close links with health & education partners.

 

Induction and training will be offered once in post.

 

Casual User Car Allowance is payable

 

Appointment to this post is subject to an enhanced DBS including a barred list check against the child workforce
