We believe all children require a safe and nurturing environment in which to grow and thrive. Parents protect and support their children; they are ambitious for their children; they celebrate their achievements and strive to support them to reach their potential.  As corporate parents we believe this is the least we should be doing for our cared for children.

If you share these values and want to help us achieve our ambitions for our cared for children then we would love to hear from you.

An exciting opportunity has arisen here at Rochdale to join our senior management team as Head of Provider Services.

We are looking for an experienced manager to lead and drive forward our edge of care, adoption, fostering, residential and commissioning services who can put placement choice and stability at the heart of good outcomes for our cared for children.

As an inspirational leader you will have a proven track record in delivering high quality children’s services with impact.

You will have a resolute focus on quality and a commitment to partnership working with all key stakeholders especially our young people. You will be required to effectively monitor, manage and allocate resources to maximise placement sufficiency and choice, ensuring support to carers is of the highest quality.

It is an exciting time to be joining Rochdale Council as we are currently developing our community based model of flexible care and support for our cared for children and those on the edge of care. As the Head of Provider Services you will lead on this pivotal development to ensure the right support at the right time is provided to parents, carers and our children and young people to maximise placement stability.

You will work closely in partnership with key stakeholders, including young people themselves to co-design our model and ensure service delivery impacts positively in children’s lives.

You will be an integral member of the children’s social care senior management team and be committed to working as part of a single integrated children’s service.

Working at Rochdale Council you will have the full support of colleagues and elected members, all with a mixture of experience and a genuine passion for working directly with children, young people and their families to improve outcomes across Rochdale and help us enhance our national reputation as an exemplar children’s service.

We have over 50,000 children and young people in Rochdale – and with your help and dedication to this role we can ensure that they all get the life chances they deserve.

We are passionate about doing things the Rochdale way and this drives everything we do.  We work with the aim of investing in our people to strengthen families.
