We are looking for an experienced, highly motivated and enthusiastic practitioner with relevant experience of the work of the Safeguarding Children’s Unit, including 5 years post qualifying social work experience and a sound knowledge and experience of working with Cared 4 Children and within the Child Protection Processes.
The successful candidate would be managing a case load of mainly Cared for Children cases ensuring the statutory obligations of the department are adhered to fully. You would join us at a time of development and opportunity to influence quality of practice and outcomes for children and young people.
We work in a relational way and the successful candidate will need to support the following aims used across the department;
Would this be good enough for my child?
What kind of adult do we want them to be when they are 20? 35? 50?
Are we managing risk for the organisation or risk to the young person?
Is there a shared approach to parenting the young person from across partner agencies?
