Children’s Services are looking to recruit enthusiastic, hardworking individuals to be part of Children’s Services Business Support. These are interesting and challenging posts providing administrative support to Children’s Services Managers and operational staff.

The successful candidates will support the team to carry out administrative duties and will be able to demonstrate that they are highly motivated and organised individuals who work to a high standard as part of a team or on their own initiative.

Support for Armed Forces

ARMED FORCES INTERVIEW SCHEME

Rochdale Borough Council has Member approval to implement a proposal to guarantee an interview from ex-service personnel applicants where they meet certain qualifying criteria.
The aim of this proposal is to deliver the Council’s commitment to further ‘the Armed Forces Community Covenant’ to ensure that ex-armed forces personnel are not disadvantaged, when applying for job vacancies, as a result of their service.
Ex-service personnel will be guaranteed an interview under the Scheme where they meet the following conditions:
They must meet the essential criteria for the post set out within the Person Specification.
The armed forces must be their last known long term employer.
They have been looking for a job for between 6-24 months since they left the Armed Forces.
