Rochdale Borough is facing a huge challenge as it works to tackle the impact of COVID-19 within its communities. Over the last few months, we have developed Rochdale’s Public Health Outbreak Plan and implemented an extensive programme of work which includes; testing, contact tracing, prevention, PPE supply and distribution, and insight behavioural change to ensure that we can effectively manage the spread of the virus.

 

This post will play a pivotal part in Rochdale’s response to COVID-19. We have two posts for the Public Health Outbreak Officers.  The post holder will be responsible for providing project management support to Public Health and will support the Public Health Specialist with the delivery of the projects as identified above, including the recovery of public health programmes that have been impacted by Covid-19. The post holder will monitor performance against an agreed schedule, identify and report risks and work to resolve challenges to delivery.

 

This is an important role in a high profile team. We are looking for two enthusiastic and highly motivated individuals to join our team.

 

The successful candidate will have extensive project management and coordination skills. They will also be able to work under pressure managing multiple projects and be able to work flexibly out of key office hours and at weekends, if required and with prior agreement.
