Salary: £16,781-£17,772 (pro rata)

Working Hours:  2 posts:  17½ hours per week Term Time Only & 10 hours per week Term Time Only Contract Type: Permanent

To be eligible to apply for this post you must be a Rochdale Resident who lives within the municipal boundaries of the Borough of Rochdale

 

Two positions have become available for a Catering Assistant for one for 17.50 hours and one for 10 hours at Littleborough Community School.


The duties will include: assisting in the preparation prior to lunchtime, the service of food at lunchtime to pupils and staff and general cleaning duties throughout this period.

Basic food hygiene training will be given within the first three months of employment

ARMED FORCES INTERVIEW SCHEME

 

Rochdale Borough Council has Member approval to implement a proposal to guarantee an interview from ex-service personnel applicants where they meet certain qualifying criteria.

The aim of this proposal is to deliver the Council’s commitment to further ‘the Armed Forces Community Covenant’ to ensure that ex-armed forces personnel are not disadvantaged, when applying for job vacancies, as a result of their service. 

Ex-service personnel will be guaranteed an interview under the Scheme where they meet the following conditions:

They must meet the essential criteria for the post set out within the Person Specification.

The armed forces must be their last known long term employer. 

They have been looking for a job for between 6-24 months since they left the Armed Forces.
