Siddal Moor is an 11-16 community secondary school serving Heywood and the wider area.

From 1st October 2018 (or as soon as all checks are in place after that date), we are looking to appoint two Teaching Assistants Level 1 to join our dedicated and talented team.

These posts are term time only, plus 5 days, and are temporary until 31st March 2019 in the first instance, whilst the school’s Pastoral Staffing Structure is under review.

It goes without saying that SEND staff play an important role within school and we would very much welcome applications from forward looking candidates who are keen to make a difference for our students.

With a full induction programme, you are guaranteed support and guidance. We are also a school that recognises and rewards talent and hard work.

With amazing modern facilities and a real commitment to ensuring the very best education for our students, Siddal Moor is an exciting place to be. As a school, we are developing an excellent reputation for our CPD and staff wellbeing. We place an emphasis on developing young adults who have the skills and ability to lead full, enjoyable and successful lives. We believe children should enjoy school and foster a love of learning that continues as they move on.

The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Appointment to this post is therefore subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring and background check.

The ability to converse at ease with service users and provide advice in accurate spoken English is an essential requirement of this post.

This is a temporary contract linked to the secondment of the post holders. End date will be 31/3/19. The end date is linked to the restructure of the schools pastoral system.

To apply for these posts, please download the application form and supporting documentation and send completed applications to ThompsonL@siddalmoor.uk by 12.00 noon on Monday 3rd September 2018.
