An opportunity has arisen within this dedicated team serving children and young people with special educational needs in Rochdale. You will work with parents, nurseries, schools, colleges and other agencies to secure the best outcomes for children and young people with Education, Health and Care plans.
The post supports the EHC needs assessment and review process including drafting, monitoring and amending EHC plans and associated work.

A key focus will be to help ensure that the Local Authority meets its statutory requirements in regards to young people (with EHC plans or under assessment) who move into and out of the Authority. You will also work alongside 2 other Assistant EHC Assessment & Review Officers to support their key areas (related to annual review monitoring and processing travel assistance requests).

This is a temporary contract for approximately 12 months to cover for maternity leave.

Approval for secondment should be obtained from your Service Director (or nominated representative) before applying for this post.
