Rochdale Council are looking for an innovative forward thinking individual to fill the post of Application and Systems Engineer within a busy and developing ICT department. The role requires a high degree of technical expertise and includes responsibility for 2nd/3rd Line support, systems maintenance and development in addition to the integration of a number of systems that support several Directorates in the delivery of their key business requirements as well as supporting their statutory requirements.

 

This Integral role offers a fantastic opportunity to build up skills across full-stack technologies whilst having a high level of interaction with both technical and wider business teams.

 

The successful applicant should be passionate about delivering high quality ICT via service delivery, customer services and proactive MIS management at Rochdale Council, to ensure value for money and constantly striving to improve services for customers. The candidate should be self-motivated and have a passion for technology and excellent communication skills and the ability to convey technical information to a non-technical audience.                       

 

In accordance with Section 7 of the Immigration Act 2016 this post requires the ability to converse at ease with the members of the public and provide advice in accurate spoken English.
