Location: The Music Service is based at Rochdale Town Hall but tutors will be required to work in schools and other venues across the Borough.

Salary:  £31,601 p.a. pro rata

Grade:  8

Working Hours: as and when required

Closing Date: 17th April 2017

Interview Date:  4th May 2017.  Teaching observation time and venue by agreement at interview

 

 

Rochdale Borough Music Service is growing fast and we are looking for dynamic and innovative Music Tutors to allow the service to expand the range of learning opportunities it provides, meet growing demand and cover for staff absences.

 

We are looking for applications from specialist cello tutors, who are also ideally able to offer tuition on other orchestral stringed instruments

ARMED FORCES INTERVIEW SCHEME

 

Rochdale Borough Council has Member approval to implement a proposal to guarantee an interview from ex-service personnel applicants where they meet certain qualifying criteria.

 

The aim of this proposal is to deliver the Council’s commitment to further ‘the Armed Forces Community Covenant’ to ensure that ex-armed forces personnel are not disadvantaged, when applying for job vacancies, as a result of their service. 

 

Ex-service personnel will be guaranteed an interview under the Scheme where they meet the following conditions:

They must meet the essential criteria for the post set out within the Person Specification.

The armed forces must be their last known long term employer. 

They have been looking for a job for between 6-24 months since they left the Armed Forces.
