An opportunity has arisen for a Social Work Post (Adoption) in Children’s Social Care, seconded to the Regional Adoption Agency (RAA), AdoptionNoW. The post will predominately be based at Fashion Corner, Rochdale, but there will also be a requirement to work at the Hub at Howell Croft House, Howell Croft, Bolton.

 

This is a permanent fulltime position which will focus on family finding for children who have a care plan of adoption.

 

The salary for this post is £28,221 - £38,052 per annum.

 

You will be line managed by an Advanced Practitioner/Manager from within the RAA.

 

The hours of work are 37 hours per week and subject to service requirements.

 

The key purposes of the post are to:- 

 *  To undertake complex profiling, family finding and matching for children whose care plan is adoption.

* To act as a liaison for case holding social workers who carry a case load of children whose plan is adoption and to advise, guide and support colleagues in all aspects of family finding for adoption.

* To support colleagues/the child’s allocated social worker in attending various adoption panels.

* To present adoption matches to the adoption panel for consideration.

* To advise and offer consultation to other workers within the RAA and within wider social care professional networks.

* To contribute to the development of excellent practice within the RAA.

* To take part in the duty system within the RAA which will be based in Bolton.
